Here’s something to get you in the mood for the Olympics…
On Thursday 12th July 2012, Councillor Julie Stewart-Turner opened the Together shop’s Olympic window.
The window was the brainchild of Pam Thomas, who arranged the knitting of all the figures, and produced the labels so we would know who was who. The Olympic Arena was made and fitted in situ by the Reverend David Kent, who chairs the Shop Steering Committee. (Look closely and you might spot some familiar faces in there).
Do have a look at the window when you’re next passing (the Together Shop is on Newsome Road South, just next to Newsome crossroads). It’s lots of fun and a real credit to those who made it.
